His creation of a parallel universe of mystery and beauty helped define my teenage aesthetic adventures.
I hope he had the forethought to assign his passing a catalog number to be engraved on his headstone: FACT 452?

I could not have put it better Mister B. Ceremony and Temptation changed my life, and not just because of the music.

BB - permission to geek?
Do you have the Ceremony 7"? I don't know if it ever made it into a digital format. I know they confusingly used it in the promo for Marie Antoinette (but not in the film proper). It was recorded without Gillian, right before she joined (supposedly). It's more lush.
I also planned at one point to join up the 7" and 12" of Temptation (one fades in, the other out) into their original proper song, but that's like listening to Zaireeka in 5.1. Cheating.
I've been spending time with my Peter Saville books and fantasizing about buying a Hacienda membership card off eBay these days.

Yeah, Bivs. I'm down with the geeking, because I DO own that puppy. Your assessment is on the money. Easily one of my favorite musical possessions. Glorious. Remember that guy that worked at Sonic Groove whose mission it was to own as many versions of Ceremony that he could find.

Was that B. Green? He still has a bunch of my records. He insisted on giving them back before a trip he took, but I was like "I know where to find you, no biggie." Oops. Biggie.

B. Green! I haven't run into him on the train for a couple years. And actually, no. It was not BG. I can't remember who it was.
