30th Street Station, Philadelphia.

Look what happens when you don't tear down your train station and replace it with the most uglyass piece of architecture in the history of building things.

A beautiful station, one of the grandest in the country, past thru during the holidays...and took the same pictures!

When we tear down these old buildings, we lose the physical representation of a time when people did look up and did want to build castles to honor the power of locomotion, the speed of the train. These days, you're lucky if the ceiling doesn't hit you in the head.
