Seeing Through.

Y'all should totally be checking out Christopher Reiger's gorgeous paintings in the three-legged group show Animus Botanica at Denise Bibro on 20th Street. Also on view, Nancy Baker's illin' vision of an illin' world.

they look like they are totally informed by the tropics...remind me of Carlos Betancourt and Arnaldo Roche.

Hey, man. It's Hungry Hyaena shutout week at HAA!

And actually, Madeline, it reminds me of how I felt when I was a kid and heard the Led Zeppelin line, "If there's a bustle in your hedgegrow", but like, in color. But that's just me. Yours is a totally ON connection, especially the Roche.

Yeah, I guess my Betancourt ref., was more to those hot color kind of emerging out of darkness, and transfiguration of the commonplace.

Here in FL, alot of people do landscape referenced stuff, but very little of it captures the sense of what it is like to be in 100+ degree heat wif, like, 75% humidity...

and I love that bustle/hedgegrow line...I know what you mean
